the endless now: distributed systems & teams

VoxxedDays Microservices - distributed: of systems and teams
Paris, France
2018-10-29

Description
We endeavor to build consistency, availability, and fault tolerance into our distributed systems, but how do we build them into our teams? The human factors in microservices require as much attention as do our technical implementations.
Drawing in comparisons from theoretical computer science and practical systems implementation, I’ll explore how building understanding requires a practical application of great tools in a deliberate pursuit of a constructive culture.

Containers aren't new but they solve real problems. We also should talk anti-hype. Containers create a lot of problems too. It is a tool, it doesn't magically solve everything @bridgetkromhout @vxdmicroservice pic.twitter.com/4rYvi1zeza

You are going to experience problems no matter what. It is important to have auto remediation when that time comes @bridgetkromhout #voxxedmicroservices pic.twitter.com/DFWCGhvEPy

@bridgetkromhout Great talk at #voxxedmicroservices, so much to digest ! Any chance of the link to the in-depth CAP Theorem blog article you mentioned? I wasn't quick enough on the draw !
