Description
As systems scale, their fractal complexity increases. This sounds plausible, but what does it actually mean in practice? Devopsdays has grown from one event in 2009 to 80 or so in 2019, and the scaling lessons of this conference series can apply to the wider world of distributed systems.

The number of DevOpsDays events jumped massively from 2015 to 2016. A contributing factor: more docs were written then about how to run an event. #devopsdays

"Things are getting more complex all the time. The complexity is increasing all the time." I disagree with @bridgetkromhout here. The complexity has been there the entire time, we've just had the luxury of abstracting it. That's becoming more difficult to do. #devopsdays
